This is our large N Scale operating layout. There are three mainlines featuring passenger service, local, and through freight. Your looking at the MOUNTAIN DIVISION at the west end. Shown on the next page is our replica of the Tehachapi Loop one of the engineering wonders of the world.

N Scale is very popular because its small size allows for alot of railroad in the limited space of today homes and apartments. This layout has over 30 scale miles in the space of half a double car garage. (If I could just convince my wife that we both park our cars in the driveway I could have a 60 scale mile layout).

N Scale is also very popular because nation standards were set for plug together moduale. You build a small "domino" to "NTRACK" specification then get together on the weekend and plug in with all the rest of you RAILNUTZ buddies and form a large railroad empire.

You will also see the world 's smallest electric train. The suitcase sized Z Scale,  around the GREEN LAKE (above). "Z Scale"  is desk drawer sized miniature railroading.

Looking east from the Mountain Division is the village of Tularosa.
